First graders will use a roller printmaking technique to apply design in a repeated patterns to a wide strip of paper.  This paper will be turned into a ring laced to fit the child's head. Fringed paper at the top edge will complete the look.
Other first graders will enjoy investigating color mixing, shapes and nature in a closeup look at daffodils.  Just in time for the The Arboretum's Daffodil Day!

Grade 2
Wildebeest Props
Second graders will create a 3D project inspired by the set crews' wildebeest masks. Bright colors, African bold patterns, and fiercely designed eyes will recreate the effect we saw onstage.
